Describe one use
Write down who will use the glasses and where. Everyday water, a small shared gathering and an occasional tasting are different jobs. Compare the maker’s stated capacity, height and opening dimensions with an existing glass that works for the person. The volume quoted by a seller may describe full capacity rather than the amount someone normally pours. A useful comparison records dimensions without guessing a recommended serving.
Read the pack as an order
Check how many glasses are supplied and whether the selected option matches the photograph. Sets, individual replacements and mixed sizes can share a product page. Read the material and care information for the exact option. Do not infer dishwasher suitability, heat resistance or impact resistance from the shape, weight or a decorative photograph.
Make room for the whole set
Measure the usable shelf height and depth, including the path for lifting a glass out. Consider whether the recipient wants a large matching set or only a couple of additional glasses. Check how the items will be washed and dried. A delicate shape can be awkward in a busy kitchen even when it looks elegant in a display.
Keep the gift usable
Keep care information and packaging available after giving it. If the item is damaged or the order differs from its description, contact the seller rather than using this guide to judge its safety. A short message about a shared occasion can make plain glassware personal. The right gift fits the recipient’s routine without requiring a new cupboard or cleaning arrangement.
