Ask about preferences

Confirm who is coming and what would be welcome. Include an ordinary non-alcoholic option without requiring a guest to explain a personal reason. If food is served, ask about dietary requirements and use authoritative handling guidance and product information. This page is an organisation checklist, not a food-safety or drinking recommendation.

Count useful equipment

Check available glasses, water jugs, serving surfaces and places for used items. Compare the number of guests with what you already own. Borrowing suitable equipment may be simpler than buying a large set for one evening. Keep walkways and ordinary room access clear.

Make the serving information visible

Retain original packaging where ingredients or handling information matter. Avoid transferring items into an unlabelled container and assuming everyone can identify the contents. Follow the instructions for each utensil or vessel rather than using a decorative object for an unconfirmed purpose.

Plan the finish

Agree how the gathering ends and which arrangements guests need. Make a place for used equipment and follow care instructions during cleaning. Keep a short note afterwards: what was used, what stayed untouched and what access was awkward. Those observations are more useful for the next occasion than buying another bundle of themed accessories.
